Find the Right Place to Begin

The Relational Key, Inner Foundation Method, and private coaching offer different ways to work with me.

Each begins with what you want to create and uses training to help you move toward it. The difference is where the work begins and how it is structured.

This page will help you compare the three options.

Three ways to begin

The Relational Key

A structured training program focused on your relationships with others.

Decide what you want to experience and create in your relationships. Understand what you bring to them, develop the skills they ask of you, and see what becomes possible when you change how you participate.

Inner Foundation Method

A structured training program focused on your inner foundation.

Become more aware of what is shaping your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Decide what you want to create. Then train what will help you move toward it.

Private coaching

A one-to-one space shaped around you and what is happening in your life.

Focus on what you want to create and receive training and feedback tailored to you.

Begin with The Relational Key

The Relational Key is a relationship training program focused on what you want to experience and create in your relationships.

You examine what you bring into relationships, how you participate, and what happens when you change your participation. You develop inner and relational skills, practice them through the course, and apply them in your own relationships.

You cannot control what another person will do or guarantee what a particular relationship will become. The training focuses on your side of the relationship: what you bring, how you participate, and what you choose to do.

Begin with Inner Foundation Method

Inner Foundation Method is an inner training program focused on your relationship with yourself.

You become more aware of what is shaping your thoughts, emotions, and actions. You decide what you want to create, then train access to the thoughts and emotional states that support it.

This work is not limited to one situation or area of life. You can use the training in relationships, work, decisions, and when you want to follow through on what matters to you.

Begin with private coaching

Private coaching gives you a one-to-one space to focus on what you want to create, work with what is happening in your life, and receive training and feedback tailored to you.

Because the work is one-to-one, the focus and training can adjust as you apply it and learn from what happens.

Private coaching can stand on its own or accompany The Relational Key or Inner Foundation Method. Neither program requires it.

If more than one option fits

The relationship you have with yourself shapes what you bring into every other relationship. That is why The Relational Key and Inner Foundation Method may both feel relevant.

Begin with where you want to place your attention now—and how you want to work.

Choose The Relational Key for structured training centered on your relationships with others.

Choose Inner Foundation Method for structured inner training you can use across different parts of your life.

Choose private coaching for one-to-one training and feedback that can adjust as you apply it.

Your first choice does not need to address everything. It only needs to give you a useful place to begin.

Do I need to take one program before the other?

No. You do not need to complete Inner Foundation Method before beginning The Relational Key, and you do not need to take The Relational Key before Inner Foundation Method.

Each program stands on its own. You may choose to take both over time, but you can start with whichever one addresses what you want to focus on now.

  • Mike Wang Coaching

“I originally went to Mike to heal from infidelity in a long term relationship. After that relationship ended, I started dating. I quickly discovered I was attracting the same type of people, which was the opposite of what I wanted. Mike helped me see and overcome the patterns that had previously kept me from attracting and keeping the right relationship.”

“I was burnt out nine months ago and realized I needed help. Mike has helped me recover and given me tools to avoid burnout in the future. I now have better boundaries around my work life, and work no longer takes over everything. I've delegated some tasks to colleagues so I can focus on what I'm best at and make more meaningful contributions. I also have time to work on high-value projects that I couldn't do before. Mike gave me the tools to understand myself better. He listened, kept me focused, and helped me make positive changes. I couldn't have done it without him. Thank you!”

“I was referred to Mike by my therapist to get support around eating better and to start exercising. I was dealing with depression and body image issues. I know I needed a major lifestyle overhaul and prioritize my health. Mike was an integral part of my healing, and he has empowered me to make lasting changes with incredible results. I now feel less depressed, more stable, and optimistic about my future! My diet is healthier than ever before. For the first time in my life, I not only feel motivated but actually excited about exercising.”
