As highly sensitive people, we often have a very antagonistic relationship to time.
We prefer to “go with the flow” – and only do things when we feel like it.
However, many of us have come to realize that because of this, we don’t always make consistent and sustainable progress towards our goals.
We have dreams or greater visions for ourselves, but we keep getting in our own way.
We succumb to things like procrastination, distraction or numbing ourselves – to avoid taking action on the things we believe to be truly meaningful to us.
This affects our life, work and relationships.
Why do we do this? Why do we put off writing that book we’ve been telling ourselves for years that we would? Or starting that side hustle that we know would allow us to pursue our passions?
Perhaps we start things but never finish. Or jump from one thing to another – especially when things get hard, overwhelming, or boring. Or maybe we rarely even start things in the first place?
As highly sensitive leaders, we have an innate desire to grow and live in alignment with our values.
And when we don’t follow through on the promises we make to ourselves, we often feel guilt or shame because we’re not living in integrity with our highest selves.
When we can’t keep our word to ourselves, when we don’t do what we say we will – we can begin to lose trust and confidence in ourselves. We can feel like we’re not being honest with ourselves.
We can also feel disempowered – and that we’re not making the kind of impact we’re meant to make in this world. As highly sensitive leaders, many of us are coaches, teachers, healers, content creators, influencers, solopreneurs, or other creatives.
And if this goes on long enough, we can become depressed or angry – falling into a victim mentality, or even blaming outside of ourselves for why we don’t have what we want in life.
We come up with a million reasons or excuses as to why we aren’t able to follow through. Until one day, we may even become sick of them 😊 Or worse yet, we start to believe that being unreliable and flakey is just who we are – or are destined to be.
What if there was another way? What if we could access a different way of being?
What if we could develop the confidence that we are able to achieve anything we set our minds to?
What if we could become energetic leaders (role models) and inspire others in our lives to be able to do the same?
What if we could get out of our own way and make consistent and sustainable progress towards our goals – without feeling we’re always behind and needing to play catch up (only to crash and burn later)?
What if we could feel empowered and self-actualized – to create and manifest whatever it is we want for ourselves?
What if we could live a life with integrity and congruence with our core values and deepest desires?
And most importantly, what if we could do all of this and show up with expanded joy, inner peace and fulfillment?
With an effective time management system, we are able to stay more focused and “on purpose” in our lives.
We can see how the actions we are taking each day are actually contributing to the progress towards achieving our goals and the things that truly matter to us.
I believe developing a healthy relationship with time is part of the embodiment process for highly sensitive leaders.
It is critical for any highly sensitive person on a journey of personal mastery and purposeful living.
As a result of our work together, you will develop a healthier relationship with time and your calendar. You will be able to see how your daily actions are connected to realizing your goals and greatest potential.
As highly sensitive people, much of the overwhelm we experience around time is caused by not knowing where best to invest our time and energy to be effective. We may stay stuck due to overthinking, analysis paralysis and self-doubt.
It is my sincere hope that after our time together, you will begin to develop a personalized time management system that works best for you – so that you can consistently and sustainably move forward on your meaningful life projects, with greater ease, self-compassion and calm.

How will we work together?
Participants in this personalized 1-1 coaching program will be committing to a 6-month (24-week) program.
We will meet for a total of twelve (12x) 50-Minute 1-1 coaching sessions over Zoom (every other week).
During off-weeks, you will receive homework/worksheets to help further implement each lesson (knowledge alone is not enough!).
Please be willing to carve out 30-60 minutes per week to start embodying key takeaways from our bi-weekly Zoom calls.

Mike Wang is a Heart-centered High Performance Coach for Highly Sensitive Leaders. He is also a kung fu, tai chi and qigong teacher – having studied these contemplative mind-body practices for over 25 years and has been teaching out of his studio in Boulder, Colorado since 2007.
